In the spirit of Cheap Living, I have been thinking about trimming some of my expenses. Specifically entertainment has been high on my list of trimming my expenses. I recently purchased a SDtv (sort of like hdtv, but lower quality and cheaper) at Walmart for $250. I also know that you can receive digital tv like this via a $50 box made by Voom. You can purchase them on ebay.
I live in Carlsbad, CA. And I've decided to document some of television stations that I receive with a set of $25 rabbit ears. So, what television stations can one receive with an analogue tv that also does sdtv in this area?

hey there.
this community's pretty small so i dont know if ill get a response but..heres the deal::
i am a student at antioch college. super liberal/progressive.
they're trying to remodel a few buildings, considering tearing a couple down and building new ones.
they're allied with a LEED certified architect, but need some help.
they're thinking its gonna cost millions of dollars, yeah, but i want them to keep it green.

anyone know anything about cheap green buildings for schools/institutions.
we dont need to go as far as composting toilets and strawbale homes unless i can show them that it's cheap and easy.

love. aerin.

Well I got something good this week that will hopefully last a long time and save lots of money. I bought a 1983 AMF Roadmaster Moped. Now I get 100+ miles-per-gallon if I'm driving by myself, rather than guzzling 15- on the van that I was reluctantly driving. Only cost $500!
